August just about did us in, but we loved every minute

The team of four young seminary students from the Center for Christian Mission in Kitwe, Zambia, traveled 2 days by bus to come on a short-term missions trip with AIM’s Zambia mobilizer, Peter Kapinga. Kevin arranged for them to visit many ministries and missionaries along the way. They were inspired, challenged and ministered all along the way with even a small handful coming to saving faith as they did community outreach! Some of the team plan to return in December for a ministry outreach to the marginalized people, the Khwe in the small village of Omega!

| The 2nd annual missions conference by AIM and SIM in Namibia was a great success! Numbers doubled from last year, and the attendees were challenged to commit themselves to world missions. Half the audience went forward at the end! It was a big event to plan, and Kevin spent a lot of time preparing, but it was a tremendous blessing. |

The team from one of our supporting churches, Tennessee Valley Community Church, arrived right before the conference and were a huge help. Afterwards, Kevin led them along with Robert Horner, team leader and TVCC missions director, for 7 days in Bushmanland, where they did Oral Bible Storying assisted by local translators and local missionary Andries Gous. Their hearts were deeply touched and between divine appointments and appreciation from believers living literally hours into the bush it was easy for them to commit to coming back next year . Thank you for praying for these three big events; at times this month we didn’t know if we were coming or going, and we also had a lot of houseguests for the conference, but in the end we can only shake our heads at God’s provision and the beautiful results.
If you would like more details on these trips and some of the amazing stories that came out of them, please drop us an email or message – we’d be glad to forward the report!
