Dear wonderful people - do we tell you often enough how much we appreciate you? Probably not. It means so much to us that there are so many who pray for us, support us financially, and stand with us. Well, to get right to the point, we are moving back to Namibia! Although the Kenya experiment has been wonderful for Charlie and we are grateful for his time here, we are headed home to our house, cars, and possessions, not to mention back to full-time Unit Leadership of Namibia. Cami has been holding down that fort this year, and she is grateful to turn it back over to Kevin as of July, when we return. Kevin meanwhile has six more weeks of supporting RVA, the school in the clouds, which has been an adventure and kept him quite busy. He particularly enjoys working with the African staff on various projects around the campus. More on that in our next newsletter Some quick tidbits: -We asked you to pray for Kevin's meeting with the Deputy Minister of Marginalized Peoples in Namibia in April - it went great! He wrote us a recommendation letter for our work permits. -Our work permits for Namibia expire in June. All the paperwork has been turned in. Please pray for renewals - it can be tricky in Namibia. Cami's trip to Angola was fantastic! 2 of the team members didn't speak English and the other didn't speak Portuguese so she had to translate constantly, with some mishaps along the way. Everyone was patient, and it looks like some new missionaries will be headed to Angola in the next year or so! AIM hasn't had missionaries there in many years. -A new Social Media Coordinator for AfriGO was hired this week. Cami breathes a big sigh of relief as she has been doing that job along with her other responsibilities for far too long. Life will become more manageable for her very soon. -Toby has joined us for the summer! Next weekend he and Kevin will climb Mount Kenya, an unforgettable experience. Look for photos in the next newsletter. We love having him here - what a joy. -Please pray that Toby will have a great summer and leave encouraged and refreshed. -We are waiting to hear about a new school in Namibia for Charlie. A lot hinges on this. Pray for the package we need so he can go. Pray for him in his third new school in three years. He has been a real champ here at RVA, working hard and reaching out to others. We are thankful for his time here. Pray for the end of our time here at RVA and that we will leave well. - Pray for us as we have many arrangements to make, including transport of pets, as we transition back. - Continue to pray for the AfriGO team as we learn to work together and with some new situations. It continues to be a joy! - Cami asks prayer for the many tasks on her plate as Editor-in-Chief, especially as a big website redesign is going on this month.
