It’s all good news

So much to be thankful for . . . Kevin came home from an amazing month in the USA, visiting all 4 of our supporting churches, his mom and his brother and family, and some other wonderful people.  There are many he missed and we’re sorry about that – time was just very limited. He traveled 3800 miles by road and God smoothed the way in every situation.   And he was with Toby for graduation!
Toby graduated from John Brown University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and plans to go on for further study after taking a year to work and make a plan. He’s currently with Cami’s sister and parents, working.

Charlie has finished his junior year of high school and is currently working on writing music and lyrics, a project he loves. He continues to take voice and guitar lessons.  We received a generous donation to help pay his school costs next year!

5 days after he returned, Kevin was off again -this time to Angola to teach a 2-week intensive course on Acts in Portuguese! The Seminary in Lubango was grateful for his help and he got great feedback.  This week, we are looking forward to welcoming a short-term team of 13 coming from Black Rock Church in Connecticut!  Kevin will accompany them north to work with a small Bible School up on the border.  Please be praying for a successful and amazing trip for all of them.  Kevin has put a lot of work into logistics.

And through all this, Cami has been working away at AfriGO.  She’s gotten some technical help on things that she’s been battling for months, as well as hired a new coordinator for the Swahili translation.  She is feeling quite pleased and there are great things happening!  See the new issue on funding missions in Africa here.  The team is working hard on the next one, and social media, website, and translations go on.

Other praise items
1.  Please continue to pray for the Zambian short-term team and the team from Tennessee who are coming in August, along with the missions conference which is being planned for that month. Plans are proceeding!
2.  We got our work permits for 2 more years!  That’s a huge praise.
3.  We recently had a large donation to help us with ministry!  We are plotting how best to use it for mobilization of Africans and for AfriGO.
4.  Cami is swimming 3x weekly at a local indoor pool only one mile from our house – she continues to heal and is finding daily life more manageable.  We thank God!
