Making connections, encouraging pastors
Last month, Kevin traveled 7 hours north to the Namibian/Angolan border to reconnect with many of our partners up there. Our travel budget has been cut, so he traveled by public transportation, which is uncomfortable and hot. In Rundu, he met up with many pastors, visited some missionaries outside of town, went to the Bible School where he did a short-term construction trip in 2018, and saw many others. Everyone was really glad to sit down and talk about AIM and their ministries, and quite a few will be helping out with the short-term missions team who are arriving tomorrow (see below).
In future, we hope to see AIM send personnel to help at the school in that town, and do discipleship and evangelism outside of town. As always, the problem is no staff! Pray with us for new AIMers to come and help.
Short-term team from Zambia arrives today!

A group of Zambians will be arriving in that same town, Rundu, later today! It takes about 25 hours by bus and Kevin drove up yesterday to meet them. The group of 8 men and one woman will spend the week up north, doing evangelism and observing ministry, then travel to Windhoek for another week of ministry.
AIM hopes that short-term trips like these will inspire Africans to go out as missionaries and we are thrilled to welcome our first team!
Please pray for safe arrival and a good trip.

Cami is so happy that she was able to our long-time volunteer, Furaha Kengela, as the new Swahili-version coordinator! She asked you to pray for that last time and is thankful that work can move forward. VIsit the website to see the new resources and stories she posts – there is a lot there! www.afrigo.org
The new issue is out! It is on the importance of learning other’s cultures and languages when doing missionary work. Check out Cami’s articles on language learning, culture shock and the North Sentinalese people as a hidden people group. She writes in every issue but does not post her name.
Visit here to see the issue and its articles – our next issue, due in June, is on African family matters in missions – it can be very difficult for Africans to go out to serve when they are expected to help their extended families. It’s a heavy isssue – please pray for the team as we put it together.
Please don’t stop praying!
1. For Charlie as he does his end-of-year exams in the next month and does two work internships to get needed credits.
2. For Toby as he does his final exams and flies to spend the summer working. We are so thankful he’ll stay with Cami’s parents and sister on Molokai and are so appreciative of family caring for him.
3. We are re-applying for Charlie’s school scholarship – if this doesn’t come through for next year, he can’t attend. Pray with us for a renewal!
4. We thank God for fruitfulness in ministry – pray for wisdom for us in so many decisions that affect short- and long-term ministry.
